A PS5 player finally
built for PC.
I've gamed on PC with a PS5 controller for years. The layout feels right. The compatibility doesn't. The Envision Pro is exactly the fix, and I want to document the switch in front of an audience full of people who have the same problem.
01 / Why I'm writing
Most PC controller reviews miss the console convert.
I came to PC gaming from console. I kept my PS5 controller because the symmetrical stick layout is what my hands know. Xbox layout never felt right, and standard PC controllers sit at the wrong end of a stick.
The problem is the constant friction. Games default to Xbox glyphs. Half the time the DualSense needs third-party drivers to behave at all. It's a workaround I've been living with, and so are a lot of people in my audience.
The SCUF Envision Pro solves it properly: symmetrical thumbstick layout, built specifically for PC, with Hall Effect sticks that won't drift and more inputs than any standard controller on the market. It's the controller I've actually been looking for. That authenticity is what makes this story land.
Why This Works
- 01 Genuine pain point, not a paid opinion. My audience will feel it immediately.
- 02 Console-to-PC content is a proven format on CharmTheGamer.
- 03 70% UK audience. Core SCUF demographic by geography and age.
- 04 UGC capability. Content that works beyond my own channels if useful.
- 05 Studio-finish production. Not phone-shot review content.
02 / Content Ideas
Four formats. One authentic story.
Each idea is built around the same core narrative: a console player making the proper switch to PC. The glyph mismatch problem is the hook. The Envision Pro is the answer.
I ditched my PS5 controller on PC
The honest switch. Opening on the familiar DualSense frustrations: wrong glyphs, driver headaches, workarounds. Then the Envision Pro arrives. First unboxing, first session, first moment the glyphs just match. Real reaction, not scripted enthusiasm.
11 more inputs than your controller
A focused walkthrough of what the Envision Pro actually gives you: rear paddles, G-Keys, Side Action buttons, adjustable instant triggers. Each feature shown in real gameplay, not a spec sheet. The "11 more inputs" line is a concrete, memorable hook for a mainstream audience.
Building my three-game iCUE profiles
Profile-building content performs consistently well on CharmTheGamer. Setting up the three on-board profiles, tuning trigger sensitivity curves, and assigning paddles for different game genres. Searchable, repeatable, and gives future buyers a reason to click.
Console to PC: the full upgrade
A mini-series for console-native gamers making the full PC switch. Peripherals, settings, display optimisation, game library. The Envision Pro as the hero peripheral across episodes. Builds a long tail of traffic and gives SCUF sustained presence over multiple pieces of content.
03 / The Audience
Who actually watches.
CharmTheGamer is a UK-led gaming and tech channel. The audience is console-aware, PC-curious, and in the buying-decision window for performance peripherals.
04 / The Creator
Creator. Videographer. Console convert.
I'm Charm. I run CharmTheGamer for gaming and tech content, and Charm Entertainment as a professional videography studio.
The creator side is where the audience lives: 14M owned views in the past 12 months, 130M+ on branded UGC for partners including Logitech G. The studio side is where the production quality comes from. You get creator-native reach and agency-quality output from one operator.
I genuinely use a PS5 controller on PC. I genuinely find the glyph mismatch annoying. That's not a pitch angle I'm inventing for a brief, it's the reason I'm writing.
Snapshot
- 01 UK gaming and tech creator. TikTok-led, YouTube long-form.
- 02 130M+ UGC views in 12 months for brand partners.
- 03 Past peripheral partners include Logitech G.
- 04 70% UK audience, 70% age 18 to 34.
- 05 Professional videography standard. Not phone-shot content.
05 / The Ask
One controller. A lot of content.
A barter partnership. The Envision Pro in exchange for honest, high-quality content across TikTok and YouTube, with UGC rights available if useful.
SCUF Envision Pro Black
- Hall Effect thumbsticks, no drift
- Symmetrical PS-style thumbstick layout
- Customisable rear paddles
- 5 programmable G-Keys
- Corsair Slipstream wireless
- Adjustable instant triggers
- Omron mechanical face buttons
- iCUE customisation software
The Envision Pro is the only PC controller with a symmetrical thumbstick layout. That's the specific feature that keeps console players like me reaching for a DualSense instead.
Solving that problem on camera, in front of an audience who has the same problem, is a genuine product story. Not a forced review. Not a spec reading. A real before-and-after moment.
The additional features, paddles, G-Keys, Hall Effect sticks, give the content legs beyond a single video. There's enough here for a proper series.
06 / Get in Touch
Let's make something good.
I'm not looking to churn out a quick unboxing and move on. The console-to-PC angle is a content series I'm building regardless. I'd rather build it properly, with the right controller, and have SCUF as the brand that made it possible.
